The Winged Hussars is a song by Swedish metal group Sabaton. Coming from their 2016 album “The Last Stand”, The Winged Hussars tells of the Polish Hussars (Winged Hussars), who were a cavalry unit of Poland in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. They were intended to be a heavy cavalry unit and a “shock” unit, but originated as a light cavalry of exiled Serbian warriors. Sabaton’s Winged Hussars specifically references the Battle of Vienna, which took place in 1683 and was won by the Christian Coalition over the Ottomans. This piano arrangement captures the power and scope of the amazing track by Sabaton, and will be a favourite for any fans of the band!
